Though initially established in 1818, time travel has allowed The Mad Scientist Journal to become the preeminent scientific journal for atypical scientific theories and journeys throughout all of space and time.

[...] I am currently supervising one PhD student, Christos Callow, who is in his first year of the PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Lincoln. Christos is interested in utopian theory, dystopian narratives and science fiction, and his doctoral dissertation will be composed of a collection of short stories, exploring utopias of perception such as the Buddhist Nirvana, the Christian "Kingdom Within" and the Lovecraftian Dreamlands. He has presented conference papers at the second conference of the Current Research in Speculative Fictions (CRSF) postgraduate conference at the University of Liverpool in June, and the 13th International Conference of the Utopian Studies Society at the University of Tarragona this July (for which he has been awarded funding).
