Checking Out Taxidermy?

Taxidermy badger in artificially created natural surroundingsIf you’ve ever found yourself in need of a taxidermy animal so you could take it to class and/or study it, you’re in luck if you find yourself in Anchorage, Alaska. You’ll need a library card, but the Alaska Resources Library and Information Services (ARLIS) on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus possibly has what you’re looking for.

The collection is frequently used by teachers, scientists, and researchers, but non-academics can also check out the specimens, some of which have been used for parties or movie filming. You can learn more about this weird and wonderful place here!
